When I see girls in their bathing suit, I’m happy for them.
When I see girls drive when they’re young, I’m happy for them.
When I see girls walking with their boyfriends, I’m happy for them.
Sometimes, I wish I was like them…

My name is Alejandrina. I’m one in every 500,000.
Diastrophic Dysplasia.
That’s me in my favorite dress.
I’m tiny. Less than 3 feet tall.
I have a cleft palate, makes my voice sound cute.
I wear braces on my feet, only to balance if I want to dribble a basketball.
I can walk. I have an electric wheelchair for better mobilization. 
I call it, My PurpleBulldozer.
My feet look cool, like a dinosaur.
Every once in a while, I have slight hearing problems.
I have scoliosis.
My hands are the HitchHiker type.
My tummy has scars. 
I have had many surgeries.
Even after all this-
I smile.
:)

I want people to understand how amazing and fortunate you truly are.
People out there have it worse. Worse than you and me.
Be happy for the Life you are living.
Be happy for your body.
Be happy for your car.
Be happy for your home.
Be happy.

Happiness is not a destination.
It’s a way of Life.
So be it.

Everyone is absolutely 
Beautiful, Gorgeous, Breath-Taking, Amazing, Wonderful.
Smile and Believe, because YOU are all of these things.
Every single one of them.

Mau diajak percaya kepada Tuhan Yesus pasti banyak yang mau. Karena dengan percaya Yesus kita bisa menerima anugerah hidup kekal. Tapi ketika kita sudah percaya sama Tuhan Yesus, apa yang harus kita lakukan? Dalam renungan kali ini Rasul Paulus mengajak kita semua untuk senantiasa taat. Percaya tanpa taat adalah suatu hal yang sia – sia . Dalam ketaatan itu kita bisa mengerjakan keselamatan kita dengan takut dan gentar. Itulah yang harus kita lakukan sebagai respon atas anugerah keselamatan yang telah Tuhan anugerahkan kepada kita semua. Mengerjakan karya keselamatan dari Allah dengan tidak bersungut – sungut agar bisa menjadi terang dalam dunia yang penuh dengan kegelapan adalah tugas kita sebagai orang percaya. Tidak gampang memang melakukan semua itu. Tapi ingat bahwa Tuhan yang bekerja dalam kita. Kita hanyalah alat Tuhan dalam melakukan pekerjaanNya . Minta kekuatan pada Tuhan agar kita mampu melakukannya sehingga kita tidak mengandalkan kekuatan kita sendiri tapi kekuatan Tuha...

I miss that moment

Do you know what I miss about being in a relationship?, I miss the late night webcam sessions and the late night calls. It’s just that special moment where it’s just you two being able to hear each others voices, you know? Falling asleep to the melody of each other’s voice and that special feeling of being the last thing on their mind when they lay their head to rest at night. Just being able to hear their voice gives you butterflies and makes you smile like an idiot, being able to hear the person that means the world to you on the other line… Trying to stay awake as long as you can so you can  talk to them and waking up to the other person still on the line with their sleepy voice, it’s so cute… Yeah I miss that feeling.
